The NATCCO 23rd Cooperative Leaders’ Congress and 48th General Assembly on May 2 to 4 at the Crowne Plaza in Quezon City will feature a powerhouse list of speakers to ensure that participants will go home enriched, enlightened and inspired.
More than 1,000 leaders from cooperatives nationwide have already enrolled to attend the biggest event of the NATCCO Network in 2025.
Theme for the event is the same as the International Year of Cooperatives as declared by the International Cooperative Alliance: “Cooperatives Build a Better World.”
Giving the Opening Remarks is ICA -Asia-Pacific Executive Director Balasubramanian Iyer.
Keynote Speaker will be Dr. Lionel Dabbadie of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization.
Youth Speaker will be Grade 4 student Carmela Funtamares Ermino from Gubat South Central School.
Speaking on his cooperative experience will be Judy T. Tria, a farmer-member of Lourdes Multi-Purpose Cooperative in Occidental Mindoro.
For Plenary Session 1 on Building Sustainable Cooperatives Through Good Governance, Main Speaker will be Elenita San Roque, CEO of the Association of Asian Confederation of Credit Unions, with Nicolas Valentin of Barbaza MPC and Edilberto Euraoba of DCCCO MPC as reactors.
For Plenary Session 2 on Utilizing Artificial Intelligence for Cooperative Development, Resource Speakers will be Dr. John Noel Victorino, a professor at Ateneo de Manila University, and Bryan Whitecross, CEO and co-founder of AMA System. Reactor will be Balu Iyer.
For Plenary Session 3 on Strengthening Financial Standards, Resource Speaker will be Ms Juris Perez, a CPA and former CEO of Tagum Cooperative. Reactors will be Ms. Mildred Esguerra of the Cooperative Development Authority and Ms. Jenebeth Conanan of St. Vince Ferrer MPC in Romblon.
Much emphasis will be on the “integration” of NATCCO, wherein all services to grow a cooperative will be provided by the NATCCO federation.
